Mammut Zinc Tabs contain 25 mg of zinc. The zinc compound zinc gluconate is used. Zinc gluconate is an organic zinc compound. Zinc counts to minerals which are vital nutrients and have to be supplied by nutrition.
Zinc has many functions in our body. It contributes to the maintenance of normal skin, hairs, nails and bones. Additionally Zinc contributes to normal metabolism of fatty acids and to normal protein synthesis. Zinc also contributes to a normal function of the immune system.
Fitness and endurance sports cause next to plenty of positive effects an increased release of free radicals, which can cause cell damages. Zinc contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress and should therefore be supplied in sufficient quantity. Oxidative stress is also associated with cell aging. Antioxidants such as zinc reduce the effects of oxidative stress.
Mammut recommts to take daily 1 Zinc tablet before a main meal. There is a total content of 300 tablets per standing pouch.
