The Mammut Whey Protein is a high quality whey protein powder for the preparation of a delicious protein shake. The contained whey protein is coordinated to the basic needs of an athlete. On portion contains 27 g protein. Protein is a necessary building substance in our body. Approximately 15 – 17 % of our weight comes from protein. As nutrient it serves as building material to gain and keep muscles and our bones.
The Mammut Whey Protein has a naturally high BCAA content. A short time after the consumption of Mammut Whey Protein the amino acid level in the blood increases, so the shake is especially suitable before and after the training. A high amino acid content in the blood leads to a better supply of the muscles before or after training. The abbreviation BCAA stands for “branched chain amino acids”. They include L-leucine, L-isoleucine and L-valine. Amino acids are the basic element of all proteins and therefore they are important for the body. The contained BCAA in the Whey Protein are three of the 8 essential amino acids, have to be supplied by nutrition to our bodies, because he is not able to build them.
Mammut recommends to mix 25 g of Whey Protein with 300 ml low-fat milk (1,5 %). A good time for the intake of protein is immediately after the training, especially weight training stimulates the protein synthesis in the muscles.
